320 <br />Presentation for approval of preliminary plans for the Schaberg Branch Library addition. <br />(Keller & Daseking) <br />City Librarian introduced Architects Mr. Keller and Mr. Daseking, who made presen- <br />tation and gave illustrations on preliminary plans for addition of Schaberg Branch <br />Library. Councilman Bury asked if plans could be shown to the few residents that <br />border library and try to get the interest of the people living around the area. <br />City Manager stat ed this would be no problem, and also added that he would like <br />School Board to see these plans. Mr. Keller stated plans have already been shown <br />to School Board. <br />Mr. Daseking reported that $110,000 had been budgeted for this project and their <br />estimated cost was $108,000. Councilman Petersen stated he does not object to the <br />plans presented, but thinks cost is too high; it amounts to $27 per sq. ft., but <br />cost should be around $60,000. <br />Councilman Henderson commended Library Board and Architects for an excellent job. <br />Mayor Herkner introduced those present from Library Board of Trustees. Motion <br />by Councilman Henderson to approve drawings presented by Keller and Daseking, <br />seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. (MINUTE ORDER #66-214) <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1130.63 ADDING SECTION 60.4.2 TO <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1130, THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE, REZONING PROPERTY ON THE <br />REDWOOD PENINSULA IN THE VICINITY OF BAYSHORE FREEWAY AND THE RALSTON EXPRESSWAY, <br />seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried on roll call vote. Councilman <br />Henderson asked if something happened that Marine World is not a success, does <br />Council have recourse to change the IR zoning. City Attorney answered yes, they <br />could change it. Motion carried on roll call vote. <br />Mayor Herkner announced that after long discussion with BCDC on October 6th, our <br />application was approved for dredging Belmont Slough. <br />Councilman Keckley moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1130.64 ADDING SECTION 60.2.24 TO <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1130, THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE, REZONING PROPERTY IN THE <br />VICINITY OF CORDILLERAS ROAD, seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried on roll <br />call vote. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to cancel Council meeting of October 17th due to the League <br />of California Cities Conference the 16th through the 19th, seconded by Councilman <br />Granger and carried. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Invitation from Transportation Agency inviting Council to attend a one -day con- <br />ference on "Urban Transportation Planning", to be held in Los Angeles October <br />26, 1966. <br />Councilman Rosselli asked that City Manager's report on allocation of funds, GID 1-64, <br />be made part of the record of this meeting. (For full report, see City Clerks <br />File - Allocation of Expenditures, GID 1-64 Funds) <br />City Manager stated that he had sent a report to Council asking if the Public Works <br />Safety Conference could be held at the Veterans Memorial Building on Wednesday, <br />November 16, 1966, without rental being charged. Councilman'Rosselli moved the <br />
