1907 <br />Motion by Councilman Rosselli to break the barrier at Oak Avenue, provided it is <br />signalized, and meet with merchants to discuss financing of signalization, seconded <br />by Councilman Henderson. <br />Councilman Petersen suggested a limited loading zone if State would agree. A <br />loading <br />modern/dock on Main Street to serve the Farmer's Market was also suggested. <br />Councilman Rosselli suggested trip to Sacramento and meet with the right authori <br />ties to try and determine a solution to this problem. Motion lost on roll call vote, <br />Councilmen Bury, Henderson and Rosselli voting yes, Councilmen Granger, Keckley, <br />Petersen and Mayor Herkner voting no. Councilman Henderson requested that this go <br />to the Legislative Committee. The Mayor so ordered. (Memo 9/27/66) <br />Motion by Councilman Granger that every effort be made to open the barrier, seconded <br />by Councilman Henderson and carried unanimously. (MINUTE ORDER #66-205) <br />Councilman Bury moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5160 ENDORSING THE PORTOLA EXPEDITION <br />BICENTENNIAL FOUNDATION, seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried on roll call <br />vote. <br />Request for permission to file a late claim, Luella Miller, 119 Rutherford Avenue, <br />Redwood City. Assistant City Attorney stated that this is a late claim, but that <br />claimant did file her claim within the 100 days required by law, but that she filed <br />with the County in error, that this was an honest error on her part and she wishes <br />permission to file now. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to grant permission to file a late claim; to deny the <br />claim and refer it to the insurance carrier, seconded by Councilman Petersen and <br />carried. Kellogg, on behalf of Audrey Kellogg, a minor, for personal injur- <br />ies alleged to have been caused by City Equipment; (2) Elite Insurance Co. on behalf <br />of Mr. Alford Redman for property damages alleged to have been caused by City -owned <br />vehicle; (3) Gabriel Fisher, 3843 Carol Avenue, Fremont, for personal injuries <br />and property damages alleged to have been caused by arrest for parking violation, <br />denied and referred to insurance carrier on motion of Councilman Rosselli, seconded <br />by Councilman Petersen and carried.
