Staff now recommends <br />award of contract to Leonard -Rowan Construction Company, low bidder, in the amount <br />of $13,6ol.50. <br />Councilman Petersen moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5205 AWARDING CONTRACT FOR CON- <br />STRUCTION OF STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENTS IN VICINITY OF CANYON ROAD AND VICINITY OF <br />HIGHLAND AVENUE; REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />CONTRACT FOR SAID WORK; AND, DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSIT, seconded by <br />Councilman Bury and carried on roll call vote, Councilman Keckley being noted <br />absent. <br />Acceptance of E1 Camino Real -Whipple Avenue Intersection. Staff reported improvement <br />has been completed in compliance with the plans and specifications, and the <br />required maintenance bond has been filed. Councilman Rosselli again expressed <br />his concern for lack of parking on E1 Camino fronting business known as "Adobe <br />Gardens" and felt this should be discussed with State when meeting to discuss <br />Oak Avenue barrier opening and Woodside signalization and widening. <br />(Memo 11/22/66) <br />Councilman Rosselli also expressed concern on size of concrete monuments and <br />its restriction of left turn which might affect Brooks Furniture Company at <br />this corner. <br />Councilman Granger moved to accept project, subject to the conditions in the <br />agreement, seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried. (MINUTE ORDER #66-141) <br />Councilman Bury moved to approve Accounts Payable, Nos. 58713 to 58932 inclusive, <br />totaling $164,183.51, seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Resolution from Board of Education going on record <br />urging City and State to expedite traffic signali- <br />zation at Woodside and Hudson Street. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to adjourn, seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried. <br />Meeting adjourned at 11:55 P.
