Johnson, Executive Director of Bay Area Grocers Association, Inc. presented petition purportedly signed by 3,800 customers of retail grocers in City, to- gether with petition signed by retail merchants, asking that Council rescind its recent action in imposing a municipal cigarette tax until such a tax is established by State Law on a uniform basis.
