within each reach. The Refined Improvement Matrix and Map will also provide a
cursory evaluation the severity of the identified deficiencies for prioritizing repairs,
consistent with the prioritization presented in the 2012 Deficiency Report.
This document will provide a clear delineation of the types of deficiencies, the
location of the deficiencies, the location and priority of the recommended repairs,
preliminary repair scope and repair detail. The Refined Improvements Matrix will
be used to develop a very preliminary cost estimate based on a simple unit cost,
prior to the field survey.
The Refined Improvement Matrix and Map, and preliminary cost will be submitted
to the City and reviewed in a meeting.
Task 2.4 — Field Survevs
Based on the refined recommendations in the Refined Improvement Matrix, the
Wood Rodgers Team will conduct field surveys as required for each project
reach as described below:
Reach 1: field survey the concrete -lined portion of the Redwood Creek
Jefferson Branch between EI Camino Real and Clinton Street
(approximately 1,000 If).
Reach 2: field survey the concrete -lined portion of the Redwood Creek
Redwood Branch between Oak and Hudson Street (approximately 1,500
If).
The surveys will depend on available as -built for their basis and will extend only
as needed based on the initial refined recommended improvements. The
surveys include invert and top of wall elevations at locations of the required
improvements.
Task 2.5 — Propertv Lines
Review and investigate entitlements, easements, and encumbrances as
necessary. Wood Rodgers will review and study recorded maps to identify
mitigation requirements. These will be added to the map only as needed, based
on the Refined Improvement Matrix/Map. If title research or reports are needed
for completion of the project, Wood Rodgers will order the reports and pass on
the costs to the City. The costs assume that only one limited segment of one
project reach will require this service.
Task 2.6 — Base Map
Prepare the topographic base map for the project reaches. All surface features,
utility information, and base mapping approximately 20 feet beyond the limits of
the project shall be included. 1 -foot contours will be generated for the project
limits, with property lines and easements shown as necessary. Wood Rodgers
Survey and Mapping team will prepare up-to-date documents employing GIS and
REV. 12-01-16 RL
ATTY/AGR.2016.325/wood Rodgers, Inc.
