Q <br />Councilman Henderson also asked that letters, on behalf of Council, be sent <br />expressing appreciation for the support given by City of San Carlos, San Mateo <br />County Board of Supervisors, Dr. Joseph Grimes, Superintendent of Redwood City <br />Elementary School District, Mr. & Mrs. Fairfax, owners of the property selected <br />for the college site for holding property available, Jack Stuart, Chairman of <br />the Citizens Committee, and his full Committee of citizens. M. <br />Pledge of Allegiance led by Councilman Bury. <br />Invocation led by Brigadier Harold Nadeau, Salvation Army. <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilman Robert H. Bury, Floyd <br />D. Granger, Mary W. Henderson, Paul C. Keckley, Herbert G. Petersen, Mayor <br />Sidney D. Herkner and City Clerk Helen C. Moore. Councilman John S. Rosselli <br />noted -absent. Also noted present were City Manager Howard C. Ullrich, City <br />Attorney Richard E. Gardella, Assistant City Manager Henry V. Burget, .mire <br />Chief J. L. Lodi, Deputy Police Chief Theodore Moudakas, Planning Director Ken <br />Schroeter, Director of Public Works J. Louis Scherer, and Deputy City Clerk <br />Marian McCrindle. <br />Councilman Granger moved to approve Minutes of Regular Meeting of March 27, 1967 <br />J <br />with amendment as submitted by City Clerk. Mayor Herkner suggested that the Staff check the <br />past records in this regard,") seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried. <br />PUBLIC HEARING, Resolution of Intention to annex, Falk Annexation declared open and <br />affidavits of publications and mailing ordered filed. Staff report stated area <br />lies between Middlefield Road and Southern Pacific spur tracks, comprising 3.12 <br />acres which the Council is prezoning to IR District, and that the property owner's <br />consent to taxation was on file. <br />Councilman Bury stated questions had been raised during prezoning on this property <br />concerning possibility of annexing contiguous areas and asked if a continued <br />effort would be made to add to this annexation. (Memo 4/4/67) <br />There being no communications or oral protest, Councilman Keckley moved to close <br />the public hearing, seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried. <br />Councilman Henderson moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5330 OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED <br />TERRITORY DESIGNATED "FALK ANNEXATION" AND HEREIN DESCRIBED, AND HEREIN ANNEXING <br />SAID TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF SECTIONS <br />35310.1 OF THE GOVERNMENT CODE, seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried on <br />roll call vote, Councilman Rosselli being noted absent. <br />a 3 V <br />
