9
l
Submittal of a report by City of Los Angeles City Council on
retention of Home Rule for rock, sand and gravel zoning which
had been prepared by the State, County and Federal Affairs
Committee. (copy submitted to Council)
Mayor Herkner asked this report be referred to the Legislative Committee.
Councilman Bury felt this might have some relation to City's cinnabar deposit
and that a report should be made to Council. (Memo 5/9/67)
Councilman Henderson commented on report submitted from the City Manager con-
cerning negotiations with the Southern Pacific on the parking lot and asked
how soon an answer could be anticipated. City Manager indicated it would be
two or three weeks before an answer could be expected.
Councilman Henderson also asked if Skylawn Memorial Park shouldn't be thanked
by Council for their communication indicating clean-up work that had been accom-
plished at the Union Cemetery (addressed to City Managerand copy submitted to
Council) Mayor Herkner stated this work obligatory under a contract agreement
with this Company and should be up to the City Manager to reply, (Memo 5/9/67)
Councilman Rosselli moved to adjourn, seconded by Councilman Petersen.
