l 0 <br />On question City Manager stated financing arrangements not discussed other <br />than for storm drain which will come from bond funds. He further stated he <br />had as late as this afternoon been in contact with the State trying to justify <br />use of gas tax funds, State to pay 50% of signals at Hudson as agreement did <br />not provide for reimbursement to City if City paid for construction now. He <br />stated State Officer had indicated he would discuss this subject again tomorrow <br />and that if this action is approved by Council it would be necessary to come <br />back to Council for funding of project; therefore, resolution should be sub- <br />ject to this subsequent action. <br />City Attorney advised addendum to resolution not necessary, agreement just <br />would not be signed. Councilman Henderson indicated her concern for not having <br />had design of project presented for review and asked if it wasn't premature to <br />go into this agreement until design presented. City Manager stated no design per <br />se available at this time but State was willing to make a public presentation <br />of plan and if Council so desired, will proceed on that basis. (Memo 1/24/67) <br />Councilman Henderson also stated her concern for pedestrian crossings when <br />Woodside is improved. City Manager advised State had already taken the posi- <br />tion they would not participate in any overpasses on Woodside Road. After <br />further discussion, motion carried on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Keckley moved to introduce Ordinance appropriating $10,000 from unappro- <br />priated balance of special gas tax street improvement fund to provide for - <br />acquiring of land and construction of a pedestrian overpass across Woodside <br />Expressway in vicinity of Stambaugh Street, seconded by Councilman Henderson. <br />Councilman Petersen indicated he was voting no. Councilman Rosselli requested <br />roll call vote be taken. Motion carried on roll call vote, Councilman Petersen <br />voting no. <br />General Improvement District 1-64 - Appraiser -Assessor. <br />Report and recommendation of City Manager read advising one of the four actions <br />needed to implement the Council's decision to retain a District Assessor for <br />GIDl-64 was approval of an agreement for the services of a District Assessor. <br />Recommendation now made to retain the firm of Marshall and Stevens, Inc., as <br />Appraiser -Assessor for the GID 1-64 District. <br />A full review was also made by him concerning work to be performed and inquiries ` <br />made of this firm as to experience and background. Report stated fee for initial <br />assignment shall not exceed $6500. He stated his recommendation had been con- <br />curred in by DMJM, that this firm be retained on terms contained in the agreement <br />proposed.
