<br />Invocation led by Father McGuire, St. Matthias Catholic Church.
<br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Robert H. Bury, Floyd D.
<br />Granger, Mary W. Henderson, Paul C. Keckley, Herbert G. Petersen, John S. Rosselli,
<br />Mayor Sidney D. Herkner and City Clerk Helen C. Moore, Also noted present were City
<br />Manager Howard C. Ullrich, City Attorney Richard E. Gardella, Assistant City Manager
<br />Henry V. Burget, Fire Chief J. L. Lodi, Police Chief William Faulstich, Planning
<br />Director Ken Schroeter, Director of Public Works J. Louis Scherer, Auditor -Accoun-
<br />tant Jack Ference, Chief Building Official Charles Gyselbrecht and Deputy City Clerk
<br />Marian McCrindle,
<br />Councilman Henderson moved to approve Minutes of Adjourned Regular Meeting of May
<br />31, 1967, (Community Activities Building), (Councilman Bury asked that Minutes
<br />of this meeting show that Wm. H. Royer had protested the adoption of the Business
<br />License Tax Ordinance before action of Council taken to adopt the same); Minutes of
<br />Regular Meeting of June 5, 1967; Minutes of Adjourned Regular Meeting of June 7,
<br />1967 (Community Activities Building). Motion as amended, seconded by Councilman
<br />Bury and carried.
<br />Mayor Herkner commented on lengthy Minutes, particularly those of June 5, 1967,
<br />and asked Council consider again ground rules which might alleviate the trans-
<br />cription of so much detail as only the official action taken by Council was man-
<br />datory for Minutes. Mayor Herkner stated he would appoint a Council Committee to
<br />review this matter, if Council so indicated. Council discussion revealed fact
<br />there had been a set of official guidelines prepared and adopted some years ago,
<br />City Clerk was asked to review and report to Council.
<br />PUBLIC HEARING, Application of Richard Delucchi to amend the Zoning Map to rezone
<br />property adjacent to the Marsh Manor Shopping Center, being Lots 1,2,3,4,5 and Por-
<br />tion of Lot 17, Tract 559, Redwood Manor No.2, from PO to CN District declared open
<br />and affidavits of publication and mailing ordered filed.
<br />Report of Planning Commission read in which it was stated a public hearing had
<br />been held by the Commission on May 9, 1967, at which time no protests had been re-
<br />ceived, and rezoning had been recommended as requested by a unanimous vote of the
<br />was
<br />Commission, Staff reported CN zoning request/for an expansion of the existing CN
<br />district having frontage on Florence St, and Marsh Rd. which would add 1.1 acres
<br />of land for commercial expansion, to the present 2,2 acres of commercial develop-
<br />ment in this shopping district.
<br />It was also stated applicant had indicated a desire to construct a 15,500 sq, ft.
<br />building to relocate the Marsh Manor Market for larger quarhers. There being no
<br />communications or oral protest, Councilman Rosselli moved to close the public hear-
<br />ing, seconded by Councilman Keckley.
<br />Councilman Rosselli moved to introduce Ordinance adding Section 60.3.19 to Ordinance
<br />No: 1130, the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance, rezoning property in the vicinity of
<br />Florence St. 17th Ave, and St. Mary's Street, seconded by Councilman Keckley and
<br />carried,
<br />PUBLIC HEARING, Appeal of Sidney L. Berlin, Attorney, on behalf of Harry A. Kramer and
<br />Gwen Kramer from denial by the Planning Commission of their application for a variance
