City Manager was asked whether a <br />pedestrian crossing had been also provided at this intersection as a protection <br />for school children. (Memo 6/13/67) <br />Councilman Keckley moved to introduce Ordinance adding Section 25.1.1 to the Code of <br />the City of Redwood City relating to concessions permits within Municipal Parks <br />and Recreation areas, seconded by Councilman Bury. This Ordinance would establish <br />procedures for authorizing catering services on City property and resolution pro- <br />posed will set fees for concession permits requested. After further questioning _ <br />on procedures proposed, motion carried. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5386 FIXING SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR <br />CONCESSIONS PERMIT, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Granger moved to adopt ORDINANCE 1316 AMENDING SECTIONS 32.121, 32.122, 32.123 <br />32.149 AND 32.171 OF ARTICLE V OF CHAPTER 32 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY RELATING TO THE IMPOSITION OF LOCAL TAXES (Business License Tax - rate change <br />real estate category and simplification of procedures) seconded by Councilman <br />Petersen and carried on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Petersen moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1317 AMENDING SECTION 3.130 OF <br />CHAPTER 3 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO SIGNS, (corrects <br />a clerical error) seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried on roll call vote. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO. 5387 AUTHORIZING EXCHANGE OF REAL <br />PROPERTY INTERESTS IN VICINITY OF BRADFORD STREET AND WALNUT STREET; AND, <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR FUNDING OF IMPROVEMENTS, seconded by <br />Councilman Bury. <br />City Attorney's report concerning this action stated this authorization would <br />effect a conveyance of a. small portion of Bradford Street, previously vacated by <br />Council action (Resolution 5171) to Kai -ser Hospital Foundation in exchange for <br />Kaiser's rights of ingress and egress over the remaining portion of the Bradford St., <br />and that City Assessor had submitted his determination of value as required. It <br />was also stated the City -Kaiser agreement provided that certain funds deposited with <br />the City should be expended for certain utility relocation work and for Veterans <br />Boulevard Improvements "and for no other purpose", but it is now proposed that a <br />portion of these funds be used for Walnut Street Improvements southerly of the <br />Kaiser frontage. <br />The action proposed would also approve an amendment to that agreement to this <br />effect, to the extent that other funds (including gas tax funds) are utilized on <br />Veterans. Council was also advised appropriate revisions would be made to the <br />1967-68 Budget indicating results of this action. Motion carried on roll call vote. <br />Discussion of request for permission to allow public dumping on the San Mateo County <br />Scavenger Company site. (Mayor Herkner). <br />Mayor Herkner referred to a. communication from Mayor Zucca of the City of Belmont, <br />requesting that City Council issue a Use Permit to Scavenger Co. to allow them to <br />open their dump on property located in Redwood City limits east of Belmont, be- <br />cause of the undue hardship to Belmont citizens caused by closing of Belmont dump <br />several months ago and necessitating their driving to the Marsh Road dump, Menlo <br />Park. <br />0 12 at <br />
