438 <br />City Manager reported that, because of the emergencies which had arisen this past <br />week, it had not been possible to relocate the drive -up mail box from in front <br />of the library to new site in front of Werder Insurance Company office, at 928 <br />Jefferson. He advised new location, in order to allow pull away and access, <br />had resulted in the loss of one parking meter. Councilman Bury moved to accept <br />report of the City Manager and authorize him to proceed as recommended, seconded <br />by Councilman Henderson and carried. (MINUTE ORDER #67-15) <br />DAMAGE CLAIM of Howard L: Dickinson, 167 G Street, for damages alleged to have been <br />caused by roots of trees in parking strip clogging sewer line, was denied and <br />referred to insurance carrier on motion of Councilman Petersen, seconded by <br />Councilman Rosselli and carried. (MINUTE ORDER #67-16) <br />ACCOUNTS PAYABLE, Nos. 59532 to 59814, inclusive, totaling $335,499.60, were approved <br />on motion of Councilman Bury, seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Letter from Redwood City -San Carlos -Belmont Board of <br />Realtors submitting list of Committee to act as their <br />Civic Relations Committee, and offering their assistance <br />to work with City in any capacity that would be of mutual <br />interest. <br />Notice of General Assembly Meeting of ABAG for February 24, <br />1967, 8:45 a.m., Hotel Claremont, Berkeley, for election <br />of officers, adoption of the 1967-68 Association Budget, and <br />further consideration of the "Regional Home Rule Proposal." <br />(copy submitted to Council with reservation slip attached) <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to adjourn to an Adjourned Regular Meeting on January 30, <br />1967, 5:00 p.m., City Manager's Office, City Hall, and by adoption of RESOLUTION <br />NO. 5262 COMMEMORATING THE MEMORY OF AMANTE T. M. <br />Meeting called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Mayor Herkner. <br />Pledge of Allegiance led by Councilman Henderson. <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Floyd D. Granger, Mary <br />W. Henderson, Paul C. Keckley, Herbert G. Petersen, John S. Rosselli, Mayor <br />Sidney D. Herkner, and City Clerk Helen C Moore. Councilman Robert H. Bury was <br />noted absent. Also noted present were City Manager Howard C. Ullrich, City <br />Attorney Richard E. Gardella, and Assistant City Manager Henry V. Burget. <br />Councilman Granger asked that the record show that no representative of the press <br />was present at the time the meeting was called to order. <br />City Manager reported that Councilman Bury expected to be a few minutes late for the <br />meeting. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1289 AMENDING THE 1966-67 BUDGET <br />FOR GENERAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1-64 BY APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $34,012 <br />FOR ASSESSING PURPOSES, seconded by Councilman Petersen.
