MOORE, City Clerk <br />Minutes of Regular Meeting <br />Redwood City Council <br />January 15, 1968 7:30 P.M. <br />Pledge of Allegiance led by Councilman Petersen. <br />Invocation led by Reverend David Caron, Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Robert H. Bury, Floyd D. <br />Granger, Mary W. Henderson, Paul C. Keckley, Herbert G. Petersen, John S. Rosselli, <br />Mayor Sidney D. Herkner and City Clerk Helen C. Moore. Also noted present were <br />City Manager Howard C. Ullrich, City Attorney Richard E. Gardella, Assistant City <br />Manager Henry V. Burget, Police Chief William Faulstich, Fire Chief J. L. Lodi <br />(entered the meeting at 8:30 p.m) Planning Director Ken Schroeter, Director of <br />Public Works J. Louis Scherer, Auditor -Accountant Jack Ference, and Deputy City <br />Clerk Marian McCrindle. <br />Councilman Granger moved to approve Minutes of Regular Meeting of January 15, 1968, <br />as mailed, seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried. <br />Loyalty Oaths administered and Certificates of Appointment presented to Frank DePatta <br />and Mitchell Paige on their reappointment to the Veterans Memorial Commission. <br />Councilman Keckley moved to consolidate the public hearing on the following rezoning <br />application with the Appeal filed in opposition to the granting of such rezoning <br />to avoid repetition, seconded by Councilman Petersen and carried. <br />(a) PUBLIC HEARING on Application of RAYMOND W. ALVES, on behalf of Raymond W. Alves <br />and Mr. & Mrs. James Melcher, as co-owners, to amend the Zoning Map to rezone <br />property from "CN" (Neighborhood Commercial) District to "R -2-T" (Residential - <br />Duplex, Combining Transient Residential Units) District, being described as one <br />acre more or less of the Easterly portion of Parcel 3 per Assessor's Map of Portion <br />of Lots 4, 11, 120 13, Sweeney Ranch, Assessor's Parcel #55-010-04, excepting the <br />front 80 -foot by 75.50 -foot area, located at 3295 North Frontage Road (formerly <br />PALO ALTO SAVINGS & LOAN ASSOCIATION application); <br />(b) Appeal of MR. AL ENGEL & MR. AL ENGEL, JR., owners and operator of Harbor Village <br />Mobile Home Park, 3015 Bayshore, Redwood City, opposing the granting of the above <br />rezoning requested, declared open and affidavits of publication and mailing ordered <br />filed. <br />Report of the Planning Commission read in full in which it was stated, after a <br />public hearing, Commission had voted unanimously to recommend that the Zoning Map <br />be amended to rezone from "CN" District to "R -2-T" District, property at 3295 <br />Frontage Road; being one acre more or less of the Easterly portion of Parcel 3 <br />per Assessor's Map of portion of Lots 4, 11, 12, 13; Sweeney Ranch, excepting the <br />front 80 -foot by 75.50 -foot area; APN 5-010-04. <br />Planning Staff report read in full in which a review was made of previous action, <br />as applicant had originally requested that the initial 80 -foot by approximately <br />JAN 15 .68 <br />
