376
Staff reported this request will change Salary Range of the Recreation Center
Supervisor from Range 38 to Range 33; that currently the position is vacant
and it was hoped recruitment could be made amongst student recreation majors
who will be graduating in June. Salary Range change was recommended by the
Personnel Board. Motion carried.
Councilman Rosselli moved to adopt ORDINANCE N0. 1345 REPEALING SECTIONS 14.42,
14.43 AND 14.47 OF, AND ADDING SECTION 14.42 AND 14.43 T0, ARTICLE 14 OF THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO THE ABATEMENT OF WEEDS, seconded
by Councilman Bury.
City Manager again advised this amendment makes changes in the notice procedures
to property owners, permitting Department of Public Works to make more accurate
estimate of costs of abatement to report to property owners involved. He also
advised Staff was recommending a disking abatement program for the coming year
instead of the previous spraying program because it was felt this process too,
would help resolve some of the problems of the program resulting from lack of
positive proof that spraying work had been done.
Brief discussion also held concerning future of weed abatement program and steps
which might be recommended for further changes. Motion carried on roll call vote.
Councilman Keckley moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1130.79 ADDING SECTION 60.1.13 TO
ORDINANCE NO. 1130, THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE, REZONING PROPERTY IN THE
VICINITY OF LAKEVIEW WAY AND JEFFERSON AVENUE (LOTS 10 AND 11, LYNDA LAKE GARDENS)
TO RH-40 ZONING DISTRICT, AND ADDING SECTION 60.1.14 TO SAID ORDINANCE NO. 1130,
REZONING PROPERTY ADJACENT TO AND SOUTHWESTERLY OF SAID RH-40 REZONED DISTRICT
(BLOCK 502, HIGHLANDS OF EMERALD LAKE NO. 5) TO RH-12 ZONING DISTRICT, seconded
by Councilman Granger and carried on roll call vote.
Councilman Petersen moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1130.80 ADDING SECTION 60.3.21 TO
ORDINANCE NO. 1130, THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE, WITH BAYSHORE FREEWAY,
seconded by Councilman Bury and carried on roll call vote.
DAMAGE CLAIM of Alois F.
