City Clerk was requested to send in reservations for Mayor Herkner as attend -
ante had been approved for both himself and Councilman Henderson.
Councilman Keekley questioned whether any consideration to be given of City's possible
purchase of the Terrace Swim and Tennis Club as suggested in the report submitted
by the City Manager, and when this might be considered before Council. City
Manager advised County is also discussing this for a possible purchase but that
property is still available, that the matter should be referred to the Park and
Recreation Commission to be discussed at their next meeting, after which a report
would again be made to Council. Councilman Petersen asked that other priorities
be thoroughly checked before City's actual consideration for this purchase.
Councilman Keckley moved this matter be referred to the Park and Recreation Com-
mission for their review and placed on Council's agenda for next week, seconded
by Councilman Bury and carried. (MINUTE ORDER #68-44)
Councilman Keckley, as member of the "ad hoc" Committee for selection of a City
Attorney, advised there were seven applications on file for this position and in-
terviews were to be set up soon.
Councilman Henderson questioned why proposed rate increase requested by the
San Mateo County Scavenger Company had not been on this meeting's Agenda as had
been stated. City Manager advised this would be placed on Council next Agenda.
(Feb. 12th)
Councilman Rosselli moved to adjourn, seconded by Councilman Petersen, meeting ad-
journed at 12:45 a.m.
HELEN C.
