He requested that a member of the Transportation Committee and a member of <br />the City Staff be authorized to make a one -day trip to Los Angeles to inspect <br />the vinyl and the recordingfare boxes which Mini -Bus wishes to install. <br />He explained that the fare boxes offered are used ones which can be obtained <br />for approximately half the price of new ones, but that in order to insure the <br />condition and desirability they should be carefully inspected by the City before <br />installation. <br />The City Manager stated, that inasmuch as he had not attended the Spring Confer- <br />ence of City Managers, funds budgeted for the Conference werd'.Available in his <br />budget for this trip. After further discussion of the materials being offered <br />and the proposed delivery date of the buses of March 22nd, Councilman Bury <br />moved to authorize the Transportation Committee Chairman and a member of the <br />City Staff to go to Los Angeles for the purposes stated, seconded by Council- <br />man Keckley and carried. Bury, Floyd D. <br />Granger, Mary W. Henderson, Paul C. Keckley, Herbert G. Petersen, John S. Rosselli, <br />Mayor Sidney�D. Herkner, and City Clerk Helen C. Moore. Also noted present were <br />City Manager Howard C. Ullrich, Acting City Attorney David E. Schricker, Assistant <br />City Manager Henry V. Burget, Deputy Police Chief Theodore Moudakas, Fire Chief <br />J. L. Lodi, Planning Director Ken Schroeter, Director of Public Works J. Louis <br />Scherer, Auditor -Accountant Jack Ference, Chief Building Official Charles Gysel- <br />brecht, and Deputy City Clerk Marian McCrindle. <br />Councilman Petersen moved to approve Minutes of Regular Meeting of February 26, 1968, <br />and Minutes of Adjourned Regular Meeting of February 28, 1968 (Supervisor's <br />Chambers, Hall of Justice & Records) as mailed, seconded by Councilman Bury and <br />carried. <br />Mayor Herkner, on behalf of Council, presented Certificates of Distinguished Service <br />to Frank P. Guida and Charles R. Moody, retiring members of the Personnel Board, <br />with expressions of appreciation for their services on this Board. <br />Monthly Progress Report on Redwood Shores. City Manager announced Mr. Jim Reiter, <br />Project Manager of DMJM, and Mr. Brad Baruh, Manager of Marine World, were both <br />NAR 468 <br />
