He requested that a member of the Transportation Committee and a member of the City Staff be authorized to make a one -day trip to Los Angeles to inspect the vinyl and the recordingfare boxes which Mini -Bus wishes to install. He explained that the fare boxes offered are used ones which can be obtained for approximately half the price of new ones, but that in order to insure the condition and desirability they should be carefully inspected by the City before installation. The City Manager stated, that inasmuch as he had not attended the Spring Confer- ence of City Managers, funds budgeted for the Conference werd'.Available in his budget for this trip. After further discussion of the materials being offered and the proposed delivery date of the buses of March 22nd, Councilman Bury moved to authorize the Transportation Committee Chairman and a member of the City Staff to go to Los Angeles for the purposes stated, seconded by Council- man Keckley and carried.
