DES.ek 3/15/688 <br />K <br />R E S 0 L U T I O N N O. <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR RECLAMATION <br />AND DRAINAGE PROJECT, DREDGE EXTERIOR WATERWAYS -2, <br />FOR REDWOOD CITY GENERAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT <br />NO. 1-64; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT FOR <br />SAID WORK; AND, DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY <br />DEPOSIT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5622, adopted Febru- <br />ary 26, 1968, the City Clerk Called for bids for the dredging <br />of Exterior Waterways -2 and related construction work in the <br />vicinity of Belmont Slough, a reclamation and drainage project <br />for Redwood City General Improvement District No. 1-64; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call bids were received and <br />filed with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, HYDRAULIC DREDGING COMPANY, LTD., of Oakland, <br />California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the <br />intention and desire of this Council to award said contract <br />to Hydraulic Dredging Company, Ltd.; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of HYDRAULIC DREDGING COMPANY, LTD., in the <br />total amount of Two Hundred Seventy-seven, Four Hundred Ninety <br />Dollars ($277,490.00), more or less, computed at the unit prices <br />quoted in bidder's proposal opened March 13, 1968, for the <br />dredging of Exterior Waterways -2 and related construction work <br />in the vicinity of Belmont Slough for Redwood City General <br />Improvement District No. 1-64, in accordance with the plans <br />and specifications therefor on file in the office of the City <br />Clerk, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby declared <br />to be the lowest responsible bidder. <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City <br />that certain agreement entitled "Agreement, Redwood City General <br />
