A1:II=3ill "-, SCOPE OF SERVICES Broadway Streetscape Project- Phase 1 Conceptual Design PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Broadway is the central spine of the Downtown core, and the street most identified with Downtown Redwood City. Broadway is home to Downtown's primary activity -generating destinations such as Courthouse Square, the Fox Theater, On Broadway Theater and shops, the San Mateo County History Museum, and offers an expanding array of shops, eateries and amenities opening out onto its sidewalks. While Broadway provides for vehicular movement and curbside parking, it is also a linear public open space, as much of a promenade as it is roadway. Broadway is also the address of the City's greatest concentration of historic buildings, and new buildings along the street will be required to reflect that history. The purpose of this design project is to continue the key goals, policies and programs for the long-term physical development of downtown as outlined in the General Plan and implementing the standards and guidelines outlined in the Downtown Precise Plan. DESIGN SERVICES: The scope of work includes preparation of a comprehensive site survey, preliminary and final conceptual design plans, enlarged detailed areas, and design and order of magnitude cost estimates. The consultant is expected to facilitate internal workshops with City staff PHASE 1 - COMPREHENSIVE SITE SURVEY TASK 1— Survey Consultant shall: COST: $47,900.00 1. Commence work as soon as the project is underway and run concurrently with the design effort. 2. Coordinate a comprehensive ground survey of Broadway from Main Street to EI Camino Real that will locate detailed existing site features, such as utilities, planters and face of buildings.
