<br />Task 3.2 - Existing Data Review <br /> <br />Review available information provided by via the City's BMP5 Program relative to existing water <br />services, meters and onsite water systems and landscapes, site plans, etc. Create a list of <br />additional data needs for Preliminary Retrofit Design (Task 4). <br /> <br />Task 3.3 - Preliminary Go/No-Go Decision <br /> <br />Based on the results of the initial customer meeting and data review, assist the City in <br />determining the Go-No/Go decision on the feasibility of service and proceeding with Preliminary <br />Design. A conceptual cost estimate and VlBter demand will be provided, based on experience <br />with similar site classifications (no detailed quantity takeoffs, etc.) <br /> <br />Task 4 - Preliminary Retrofit Design <br />Consultant shall prepare a Site data collection priority schedule for City review and approval. <br />The priority data schedule shall contain Site information to facilitate the final design and <br />construction of the on-site recycled water infrastructure and identify any modification needed to <br />be performed in the immediately adjacent public right of way. Upon City's approval of the priority <br />list and upon written authorization from the City, the Consultant shall, for up to 57 Customer <br />Sites perform the following services. The engineering labor effort for Preliminary Retrofit Design <br />is estimated to be 28 hours per customer site. <br /> <br />Task 4.1 - Detailed Site Assessment <br /> <br />Perform detailed reconnaissance of customer site, building on prior work by the City for the <br />BMP5 Program. Investigate setup of existing potable water service and onsite systems to <br />assess the feasibility of separating potable and non-potable uses. Operation of customer's <br />water system may be required during this assessment as allowed by the agreement provided by <br />City. <br /> <br />As appropriate for each Customer site, detailed reconnaissance shall consider the following <br />items: <br /> <br />Site Characteristics <br />Type of soil, landscape to be irrigated <br />Area of recycled water use <br />Potential areas of overspray, ponding or runoff <br />Presence of drinking fountains and other potable water facilities <br />Existing backflow protection on potable water service <br />Potable and Recycled water service/meter location <br />Appropriate locations for advisory signs <br />Surrounding land use or other site restrictions (e.g., wells) <br />Site drainage and subdrains <br />Irrigation Facilities <br />Irrigation system record drawings (if available) <br />Potential for cross connections and separation requirements <br />Reservoirs, pumps, strainers, filters, piping and control systems <br />Valves, quick couplers, irrigation components (e.g., drip or spray) <br /> <br />6 <br />
