7. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />A. Seaport Plaza and Stanford Boathouse Zoning Map Amendments (no new <br />development is proposed (602) <br />Senior Planner Ekas explained that the property had been discussed previously, <br />however, no new development is being considered on the sites. She explained <br />the background and reason for the rezoning consideration. <br />Vice Mayor Pierce opened the public hearing. No public comment received. <br />M/S Foust/Bain to close the public hearing. The motion passed by a <br />unanimous voice vote by those present. <br />Recommendation: <br />M/S Foust/Ruskin to: <br />1. Find that the Zoning Map Amendments are in the public interest and are <br />consistent with the purposes of the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance and the <br />General Plan. <br />2. Approve the Zoning Map Amendment for the Seaport Plaza property located <br />at 100 -200 Cardinal Way as well as a portion of Cardinal Way from the <br />General Industrial (GI) to the Industrial Park (IP) Zoning District <br />3. Amendment of Water Rates and Basic Service Charges (802) <br />Public Works Superintendent Rosas explained the enterprise fund and the two <br />components to the water utility bill.
