�. . <br /> I� <br /> � <br /> AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO EXTEND AND AMEND AGREEMENT <br /> BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND <br /> REDWOOD CITY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT <br /> FOR THE REDWOOD CITY FAMILY CENTERS <br /> This Amendment No. 1 is entered into and effective as of the day of <br /> , 2004, extending and amending the agreement dated <br /> October 29. 2003 (the "Agreement") by and between the County of San Mateo, a <br /> political subdivision of the State of California (°County"), the City of Redwood City a <br /> charter city and municipal corporation of the State of California ("City"), and the <br /> Redwood City Elementary School District ("District")(collectively, the "Parties") for the <br /> Redwood City Family Centers. <br /> RECITALS <br /> A. The Parties desire to extend the Agreement for a period of one year from <br /> July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005 <br /> B. The Parties desire to alter the AgreemenYs scope of work to change the <br /> amount contributed by City for Fiscal Year 2004/2005. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of these recitals and the mutual covenants <br /> contained herein, the Parties agree as follows: <br /> 1. That Section 2 of the Agreement is hereby amended in its entirety to read <br /> as follows: <br /> "2. Term. This Agreement shall be binding on the Parties upon <br /> execution of this Agreement by all Parties. This Agreement shall be <br /> effective July 1, 2003 and shall continue in effect through June 30, <br /> 2005." <br /> 2. That Section 12 A. of the Agreement is hereby amended in its entirety to <br /> read as follows: <br /> "A.
