There are no historic <br />structures located on or adjacent to the project site that would be affected by the proposed project. <br />(No Impact) <br /> <br />4.5.3.2 Impacts to Archaeological and Paleontological Resources and Human Remains <br />(Checklist Questions 2 – 4) <br /> <br />Prior to development in the 1990s, the project site was undeveloped land that was reclaimed from the <br />San Francisco Bay (i.e., landfill). Therefore, the soil on the project site has been previously disturbed <br />and will not disturb native soil. For this reason, it is very unlikely that archaeological or <br />paleontological resources would be uncovered during construction of the proposed project. The <br />mitigation measures listed below would be implemented in the unlikely event that cultural resources <br />or human remains are uncovered during construction of the proposed project. <br /> <br />Impact CUL-1: Construction of the proposed project could result in significant impacts to <br />buried cultural resource. (Significant Impact) <br /> <br />Mitigation Measures: The following measures would be implemented in the unlikely event that <br />cultural resources or human remains are uncovered during construction of the proposed project: <br /> <br />MM CUL-1: In the event that cultural resources are found, all work within 50 feet of the <br />find will stop and a qualified professional archaeologist or paleontologist will <br />examine the find. If the find is determined to be significant, treatment <br />recommendations will be developed and implemented before earthmoving or <br />construction activities can recommence within the designated resource area. <br /> <br />MM CUL-2: In compliance with state law (Section 7050.5 of the Health and Safety Code <br />and Section 5097.94 of the Public Resources Code), in the event that human <br />7.A. - Page 67
