Section 4.0 – Environmental Setting and Discussion of Impacts <br /> <br /> <br />City of Redwood City 37 Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration <br />Sandpiper Elementary School Facilities Expansion November 2016 <br />remains are encountered during grading and construction, all work within 50 <br />feet of the find will stop and the San Mateo County Coroner’s office will be <br />notified. If the remains are determined to be Native American, the Coroner <br />will notify the Native American Heritage Commission to identify the “Most <br />Likely Descendant” (MLD). The District, in consultation with the MLD, will <br />then develop and implement a plan for treatment, study and reinterment of the <br />remains. <br /> <br />The proposed project, with implementation of the mitigation measures identified above in the <br />unlikely event that cultural resources and/or human remains are uncovered during construction, <br />would not result in a significant cultural resources impact. (Less Than Significant Impact with <br />Mitigation Incorporated) <br /> <br />4.5.4 Conclusion <br /> <br />The proposed project, with implementation of the mitigation measures identified above in the <br />unlikely event that cultural resources and/or human remains are uncovered during construction, <br />would not result in a significant cultural resources impact.
