The proposed <br />project would incrementally increase the demand for fire and police protection services, due to the <br />220 additional students and associated staff the proposed classroom buildings would accommodate. <br />The incremental increase in demand would not increase existing response times to the campus and <br />would not require construction of new fire or police facilities. The proposed classroom buildings and <br />other additions and improvements to the project site would be designed to meet current fire and <br />police safety standards. Full emergency vehicle access would continue to be provided at the project <br />site under the proposed project. For these reason, the proposed project would not result in significant <br />impacts related to the provision of fire and/or police services. (Less Than Significant Impact) <br /> <br />4.14.3.2 Parks, Schools, and Other Public Facilities (Checklist Question 1c – 1e) <br /> <br />The proposed project would increase the capacity of Sandpiper Elementary School by 220 students. <br />The increased capacity is necessary to serve projected growth within the District and, therefore, <br />7.A. - Page 114
