The proposed
project would incrementally increase the demand for fire and police protection services, due to the
220 additional students and associated staff the proposed classroom buildings would accommodate.
The incremental increase in demand would not increase existing response times to the campus and
would not require construction of new fire or police facilities. The proposed classroom buildings and
other additions and improvements to the project site would be designed to meet current fire and
police safety standards. Full emergency vehicle access would continue to be provided at the project
site under the proposed project. For these reason, the proposed project would not result in significant
impacts related to the provision of fire and/or police services. (Less Than Significant Impact)

4.14.3.2 Parks, Schools, and Other Public Facilities (Checklist Question 1c – 1e)

The proposed project would increase the capacity of Sandpiper Elementary School by 220 students.
The increased capacity is necessary to serve projected growth within the District and, therefore,
7.A. - Page 114
