the costs if any incurred or to be incurred in connection with the preparation of any environmental study or report under CEQA and shall reimburse City upon demand c The projected costs do not include all fencing backstops and other ancillary structures and the parties will attempt to secure community funding for those facets of the fields d If the bids come in higher than the estimates set forth above the County and the City will share in the additional costs in the same proportion each is contributing pursuant to subsections 5a and 5b If however either City or County determines that the bid is so much more than expected as to make the financial commitment impractical that party may elect to terminate its commitment andor the parties will attempt to consider other alternatives e If the bids come in lower than the estimates set forth above the City and the County will have a decreased commitment in proportion to the contributions set forth in subsections 5a and 5b above 6 Payment for Maintenance of Fields a The County of San Marco will be responsible for the cost of maintaining the playing fields at Garfield School In this connection it is anticipated the County will contract with the City to perform this service or to subcontract for maintenance b The City witl be responsible for the cost of maintenance and will maintain the fields at Taft School c The parties hereto acknowledge that for reasons unrelated to inadequate maintenance either of the fields may over time deteriorate to a point that maintenance becomes uneconomical and repair and replacement of the fields or facilities becomes advisable In the event either City or County concludes that ekher field should be repaired or replaced the parties shall in good faith meet to discuss the options of repair or replacement and shall attempt to reach agreement as to whether the field should be repaired or replaced and an agreement as to equitable sharing of costs of 4 6.1.B. - Page 19
