M /S: Claire /LaBerge to direct staff to continue the letter permit process <br />for the Kiwanis carnival, continue to facilitate differences between the PCA <br />and Kiwanis, and bring permit applications and agreements for cost sharing <br />back to Council within 30 days, -with Council acting as final mediator. <br />Carried by unanimous voice vote. <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 90 -020 <br />lb. Mayor Greenalch reported on his meeting on the East Palo Alto Drug Crisis in <br />the office of the Board of Supervisors sponsored b Supervisor Nolan on <br />Friday, February 9, 1990 at 2:30 p.m. and distributed copies of the report <br />titled "Resources Needed for Police Service Delivery, Immediate and Long <br />Range ". Redwood City Police Chief Guardino will review the requests and <br />report to this Council within three weeks. Council will then be asked what <br />type and how much assistance Redwood City will give to East Palo Alto. <br />Also, officials of local communities will be asked to discuss policy issues <br />on a regional basis when one jurisdiction needs help. <br />lc. Mayor Greenalch reported on his 4:00 p.m. meeting of Friday, February 9, <br />1990 regarding the old Dumbarton Bridge and distributed copies of the <br />"Dumbarton Commute Service Feasibility Study" and a copy of Assembly <br />Bill No. 2725 sponsored by Members Lempert and Eastin regarding rail service <br />on the bridge. Abatement of buildings at 423 -437 Fuller Street, APN <br />052 - 334 -070 and at 417 Fuller Street, APN 052 - 334 -080 <br />Report: Community Development Director 1/30/90 <br />City Attorney Schricker administered the oath to ai11 those who were about <br />to give testimony at the hearing. <br />Building Official LaTorra presented the staff report and Building Inspector <br />Code Enforcer Schnell presented slides of the subject buildings. <br />Mario Biagi, 1566 Hudson, Redwood City, representiing the owner of the <br />properties Joseph Figueras, advised Council that the properties had been <br />misrepresented to Mr. Figueras when he bought them' and he has been working <br />with his attorneys to obtain relief and to sell the properties - without any <br />luck.
