Stangel <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CALL TO ORDER - 7:30 p.m., Mayor Greenalch presiding <br />M I N U T E S <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />401 Marshall Street <br />Redwood City <br />April 2, 1990 <br />Councilmembers present: Buchan, Bury, Claire, LaBerge, Murray, Stangel <br />and Mayor Greenalch <br />Councilmembers absent: None <br />Officials and staff present: Smith, Schricker, Jorgenson and Jean, Sennewald, <br />Guardino, Luck, Jany <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - Councilman Murray <br />INVOCATION - Capt. Albert Bassett <br />Salvation Army <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES - Regular Meeting of March 26, 1990 <br />M /S: Bury / Stangel to approve the subject Minutes as submitted. <br />Carried by unanimous voice vote. <br />--------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />SPECIAL ORDERS OF THE DAY AND PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />1. Presentation of plaque to Raymond Palomares on the occasion of his retirement <br />from the City of Redwood City. (301 -05) <br />Mayor Greenalch presented the plaque to Mr. Palomares and thanked him for his <br />many years of outstanding service. Mr. Palomares thanked the Council. <br />--------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />a. Dean Whitecloud, 1290 Warren Street, Redwood City, thanked Council for its <br />actions in closing the Whipple Avenue Lodge and Mayfair Motel for drug and <br />prostitution activities, and asked Council to monitor other motels for similar <br />illegal activities. Mr. Whitecloud advised he had observed violations in other <br />Redwood City motels and would submit photographs as soon as they are developed. <br />MINUTE BOOK NO. 49 Reg. Mtg.
