Mr. Warren advised that <br />Redwood Shores Properties is preparing a master plan for the entire area <br />east of the transmission lines which will be completed in the fall. Mr. <br />Warren requested inclusion on any committee formed to consider this issue. <br />Robert Slusser, Parks and Recreation Commission member, advised that the <br />Commission had recommended consideration of all potential sites within <br />Redwood City sphere of influence recommended amending the proposed <br />motion to reflect this change. <br />CONSENSUS: It was determined by Mayor La Berge that it was the consensus of <br />the Council to amend the proposed motion by substituting "a golf range site" <br />for the words "the site." <br />Hiram Sibley, 6729 Dartmouth Way, San Jose, co- operator of Redwood Shores <br />Golf, advised Council this was one of the last open areas in Redwood City <br />and Council had this last opportunity to preserve open space in the City. <br />M /S: Stangel /Murray to accept the Park and Recreation Commission <br />recommendation against the land transfer and appoint a sub - committee of <br />interested parties to examine alternative sites, and to research buying a <br />golf range site or extending the deadline for the current driving range <br />lease. <br />MINUTE ORDER NO. 90 -059 <br />CONSENSUS: It was determined by Mayor La Berge that it was the consensus of <br />the Council to direct the Park and Recreation Commission to appoint a sub- <br />committee including Mr. Sibley and Mr. Warren, members of the Parks and <br />Recreation Commission, staff and interested members of the public and report <br />back to Council with recommendations. <br />MEMO 5/15/90 <br />-------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />M /S: Buchan / Stangel to waive reading of the Consent Calendar and adopt the <br />resolutions and approve other items. <br />Approved by unanimous roll call vote. <br />8.
