ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br />a. Wim deWit, 1514 Mitchell Way, Redwood City, asked Council to pass a <br />resolution declaring opposition to the development of a golf course or any <br />commercial activity in the San Francisco watershed lands. <br />Mayor La Berge referred this matter to staff for review. <br />MEMO 6/5/90 <br />b. Larry Rosen, 3739 Florence Street, Redwood City, described the problems he <br />has had with abandoned cars and asked Council to: a) require the Police <br />Department to enforce ordinance regarding abandoned vehicles; b) require the <br />Police Department to mark cars as soon as they are known to be abandoned; <br />and c) restrict overnight parking to residents and guests. <br />Mayor La Berge referred this matter to Howard Baker, Business Manager of <br />the Police Department. <br />MEMO 6/5/90 <br />-------------------------------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- <br />MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br />a. Councilwoman Buchan reported on the very successful and inspiring Hispanos <br />Unidos Scholarship Awards dinner on June 2, 1990. <br />b. Mayor La Berge described the Memorial Day observance at Union Cemetery <br />attended by Councilmembers Buchan and Murray and over 300 people who <br />participated in this 50 year old tradition. <br />c.
