M /S: Buchan /Claire to approve, in concept, the Child Care Policy Statement prepared under the Human Services Financial Assistance Agreement with the Child Care Coordinating Council /Redwood City Child Care Consortium under the direction of the City Council Child Care Committee; authorize departmental and public review; and direct the Housing and Human Concerns committee to hold a public hearing. Revised landscape water conservation guidelines (1204 -09) Report: Community Development Director, 5/21/90 Community Development Director Pawloski presented the staff report, described the changes: disallowing turf in median strips; in areas less than 6 feet wide; or on 20% slopes; but, exempting single family dwellings, duplexes or triplexes. For the record, City Attorney Schricker advised these revised landscape water conservation guidelines are not enforceable outside the City of Redwood City limits. Nita Spangler, 970 Edqewood Road, Redwood City commented on need for drought resistant plants and urged Council to request County to join in this effort. Title read.
