<br />5. The soil drench treatment to be applied to the tree shall be formulated to provide a systemic <br /> pesticide for control of the insect or disease as requested. The soil drench will be properly <br /> applied based on the size of the tree, and available soil within the drip line. <br />6. The treatments shall be performed as a per tree price. <br />7. The City will provide the Contractor with the list of trees to be treated. The Contractor shall <br /> provide the City the scheduled date of treatment within five (5) working days of receipt of the <br /> list. Trees shall be treated within fourteen (14) working days of receipt of the list. The <br /> Contractor shall notify the residents by telephone (name, address, and phone number shall <br /> be provided by the City) at the addresses adjacent to the tree to be sprayed, at least 48 <br /> hours in advance, providing the date the spray work will occur. In the event the spray does <br /> not occur on the scheduled date, the Contractor shall contact the City and advise of the re- <br /> scheduling. In the event the spray does not occur on the scheduled date, the Contractor <br /> shall notify the resident at least one day in advance with the new scheduled date. The <br /> Contractor shall provide the resident with the Contractor's name and phone number to <br /> contact with questions. The Contractor shall notify the City two days in advance of the work <br /> if additional traffic control is necessary to deliver safe treatments. <br />9. Compensation for the above materials and work completed is included in bid items no. 6, no. <br /> 7, & no. 8 in the Bid Proposal. <br />F. Aerial Lift <br />1. The Contractor shall provide an hourly rate for an additional aerial lift to the base pruning and <br /> removal crew. The operator/climber shall be capable of climbing the tree away from the <br /> aerial lift. The aerial lift shall have a minimum working height of forty-five (45') feet. The <br /> aerial lift will be assigned by the City to assist pruning or removal work in the same manner <br /> and conditions as the Pruning and Removal crew in number 1.06, A, 3, above. <br />2. Compensation for the above equipment is included in the hourly rate of bid item number 9 in <br /> the Bid Proposal. <br />G. Tree Watering <br />1. The Contractor shall provide a per-tree rate for watering trees. Trees shall be watered to <br /> provide approximately 20 gallons of "tap water" per tree. Water shall be applied by injection <br /> into the soil. The main concentration of water shall be into the rootball of newly planted trees <br /> and the area surrounding the rootball of older trees. <br />2. Water may be utilized from fire hydrants designated by the City. Contractor shall obtain a <br /> meter from City to use fire hydrants, and pay for appropriate water usage. <br />3. Contractor shall leave a clean site removing any mud or overflowed debris after watering. <br />4. Compensation for the above materials and work completed is included in bid item number 10 <br /> in the Bid Proposal. <br /> Page 4 of 4 <br />
