<br />ATTY/AGR/2017/AMENDMENTS/AMEND NO. 3 KRUPKA CONSULTING <br />REV: 02-06-17 VR <br />Page 3 of 5 <br />EXHIBIT “A” <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br /> <br />Role of Consultant as Project Manager <br /> <br />Consultant will be responsible for initiating the Plans, Specifications, and Estimate/Right <br />of Way (PS&E & R/W) phase of the Highway 101/84 Interchange Reconstruction <br />Project (the “Project’) for City. Consultant will be responsible for Project oversight, <br />consultant contract administration, coordination with Caltrans, the San Mateo County <br />Transportation Authority (TA), the City, and the community, and reporting within and for <br />the City according to established protocols. <br /> <br />Scope of Work <br /> <br />A. Project Management <br /> <br />Consultant will initiate the PS&E and R/W phase for the Project, which includes the <br />following primary activities: <br />• Engage and negotiate contract for the PS&E consultant. For the PS&E contract, <br />there are two options: <br />1. negotiate a new contract with the PA&ED consultant, or <br />2. conduct a new solicitation process and engage a new consultant. <br />Both options require City Council approval. <br />• Engage and negotiate contract for the R/W support consultant for City Council <br />approval. <br />• Develop a new Cooperative Agreement with Caltrans for PS&E and R/W. <br />Consultant will work with the designated Caltrans Project Manager to confirm <br />Project Development Team (PDT) membership and activities and to review and <br />coordinate scope and schedule. <br />• Identify additional technical resources and budget that may be required to <br />successfully deliver this phase of work. <br />• Coordinate with TA and City staff around project funding and delivery. <br /> <br />Consultant will administer the PS&E and R/W consultant contracts, including, but not <br />limited to: monitoring progress, submittals, schedule, and invoicing. <br /> <br />Consultant will coordinate and meet with City staff and City Council (Ad Hoc <br />Subcommittee and entire Council), Caltrans, the TA, and community at large regarding <br />Project activities. Following coordination meetings, Consultant will prepare and <br />distribute action item minutes to the City within one week of the meeting. Consultant will <br />support City efforts to pursue Project funding by coordinating with City staff and officials <br />and funding agencies and assisting in developing funding applications. Consultant will <br />prepare documents required for coordination with permitting and approval agencies <br />including the County, Caltrans, and UPRR. <br /> <br />6.1.D. - Page 5
