Attachment 2 <br /> <br /> <br />2016 Complete Streets Advisory Committee Status Report <br /> <br />2016 was the first full year of the Complete Streets Advisory Committee 2-year pilot. The five <br />committee members met for four Regular Meetings plus three Special Meetings. Over the course of <br />the year, the City Council asked the committee to gather public input and advice on additional topics, <br />including the City's residential parking permit and traffic calming programs. <br /> <br />The committee adopted an extensive work plan for 2016 and made significant progress across all <br />areas. Specific accomplishments are summarized below. <br /> <br />Grant Applications <br />Signed letters of support for over $8 million in grants, of which $1 million was awarded so far. <br /> <br />2015 Measure A Pedestrian and Bicycle Program: <br />· Kennedy Safe Routes to School Project – awarded $500,000 <br />· Highway 101 Undercrossing Project - awarded $500,000 <br />· Alameda de las Pulgas Bicycle and Pedestrian Improvements (Woodside project) - awarded <br />$40,000 <br /> <br />Active Transportation Program (ATP) - Cycle 3: <br />· 101/Woodside Class I Bikeway Project - requested $3,187,000 <br />· Holly Street Pedestrian and Bicycle Overcrossing (San Carlos project) - requested $4,200,000 <br /> <br />Farm Hill Boulevard Improvement Pilot Project <br />Held three meetings to review the Farm Hill Pilot project <br />· Dec 15, 2015 - Reviewed initial pilot implementation and recommended adjustments <br />· Jan 19, 2016 - Reviewed mid-pilot data and recommended further adjustments <br />· Oct 5, 2016 - Reviewed post-pilot data at Special Meeting (with over 30 public comments) and <br />made recommendation to Council based on data and public feedback. <br /> <br />El Camino Real Corridor Plan <br />Selected CSAC member Marc Manuel to serve on the Citizens Advisory Group. <br /> <br />Citywide Transportation Plan <br />Advised staff on topics and scope for the Citywide Transportation Plan. Selected CSAC chair <br />Matthew Self to serve on the policy advisory group. <br /> <br />Residential Parking Permit Program <br />Held public meeting to review and make recommendations for the Residential Parking Permit <br />Program. <br /> <br />Traffic Calming Program <br />Held public meeting to review and make recommendations for the Traffic Calming Program. <br /> <br />City Projects <br />Reviewed and provided input on many City projects related to pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure: <br />· Broadway Median removal <br />· Hudson Street Pedestrian and Bike Improvement Project <br />6.3.A. - Page 9
