Uniform Allowance: The maximum cost provided by the City of uniform issuance, <br />repair and replacement will increase $50 per fiscal year to a maximum of $750 annually. <br /> <br />Education Reimbursement: The maximum educational reimbursement eligibility will <br />be increased from $650 to $1,500 per fiscal year, in order to maintain a meaningful <br />incentive for advanced education. <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />Direct staff to continue negotiations with the Service Employees International Union <br />Local 521 and/or the Chief Officers Association. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The salary and benefit changes contained within the SEIU and COA Memoranda of <br />Understanding are within the parameters established by the City Council. Estimated <br />costs of these agreements can be absorbed within the current year operating budget, <br />and within current projected costs for Fiscal Year 2017-2018.
