And /Or <br />Introduction of Ordinance: <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 15.4 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1130, THE <br />REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE RELATING TO CG (GENERAL <br />COMMERCIAL DISTRICT); <br />M/S Hartnett/Ira to continue this item to the regular meeting of February 7, 2000. The <br />motion passed by a unanimous voice vote by those present. <br />8. BOARDS, COMMISSION AND COMMITTEE REPORTS —None <br />9. CLOSED SESSION — None <br />10. ADJOURNMENT —11:16 p.m. <br />Vice Mayor Claire asked that the meeting adjourn in memory of Frances Garcia, wife of former <br />teacher at Sequoia High School. Frances Garcia is survived by many children, Mike Garcia <br />being one of her sons and the athletic director and baseball coach at Canada College. <br />Vice Mayor Claire further requested that his father -in -law, Monte Navarra, be honored at <br />adjournment. Knowing him for 43 years, always giving plenty of advice, Monte Navarra passed <br />away on January 17 and will be sorely missed. A professional musician for his entire life, he <br />played the accordian until the age of 85. <br />Mayor Ruskin included Lt. Ray Richardson, a veteran San Mateo County sheriff's detective in <br />the adjournment. Lt. Richardson passed away of a heart attack on January 19. <br />Mayor Ruskin requested Charles A. Guinasso be included in the adjournment. Mr. Guinasso <br />was a Redwood City native, born in 1918, graduated from Sequoia High School in 1937. He <br />became a Redwood City fireman before his WWII, four year Army duty. After 32 years as a <br />fireman, he retired and remained a resident of Redwood City staying around his friends and <br />family. He will be missed by many. <br />M/S Hartnett/Howard to adjourn the meeting in honor of Frances Garcia, Monte Navarra, Lt. <br />Ray Richardson and Charles A.
