DES:djk 04/11/90 ( #21) <br />R E S O L U T I O N N 0. <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DECLARING <br />CANVASS OF RETURNS AND RESULT OF GENERAL MUNICIPAL <br />ELECTION HELD ON APRIL 10, 1990 <br />WHEREAS, the Council of Redwood City, by Resolution No. <br />11246, duly passed and adopted on March 19, 1990, designated the <br />precincts and polling places and appointed the members of the <br />precinct boards for the general election to be held in said City <br />of Redwood City on April 10, 1990, as required by law, for the <br />purpose of electing three ( "3) Council members for the full term <br />of four (4) years each; and <br />WHEREAS, said general municipal election was held on <br />Tuesday, April 10, 1990, in accordance with law, and the votes <br />thereat received and canvassed, and the returns thereof <br />determined and declared in all respects as required by law; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The City Clerk of the City of Redwood City shall be, and <br />is hereby, instructed to enter ..this resolution on the minutes of <br />this Council as a statement of the result of said election. <br />2. The whole . number of votes cast in said City at said <br />general municipal election was 3,966 votes. <br />3. The list of candidates nominated for the office of <br />Council member to be filled at said general municipal election <br />and the names of the candidates which were set forth in the <br />petitions assembled and filed with the City Clerk, as required by <br />law, and the number of votes cast in favor of each of the <br />candidates were as follows: <br />
