The level of effort <br />anticipated in Amendment No. 2 is the same as Amendment No. 1, approximately 10 <br />hours per week for a term of fifteen months. Although the level of effort and term of <br />Amendment No. 2 are the same as Amendment No. 1, the hourly rate has been <br />increased to allow for an approximate 3% annual increase over the life of the original <br />agreement and amendments. <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />Council may choose not to approve Amendment No. 2 with Kitchell/CEM, Inc. and direct <br />staff to modify the terms or allow services to conclude once Amendment No. 1 expires. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Previously, Amendment No. 1 increased the original agreement amount by <br />$107,250.00, from $60,000.00 to $167,250.00. Approximately 90% of costs under <br />Amendment No. 1 were paid for by private development projects. <br /> <br />Amendment No. 2 would increase the agreement by $113,750.00, from $167,250.00 to <br />$281,000.00. The General Fund – Subdivision Engineering has $358,309.42 available <br />as of December 31, 2016.
