jointly enter into a services agreement with the Project Manager. The <br />Project Manager shall have the responsibility to coordinate and oversee <br />all phases of the project, and shall periodically provide progress <br />reports to City and District. City and District shall share equally in <br />the costs of retaining the Project Manager. <br />16. Joint selection Committee <br />a. A Joint Selection Committee shall be formed, consisting of <br />four members appointed by the City and four members appointed by the <br />District, for the sole purpose of reviewing the qualifications of, and <br />recommending the selection of, a Project Architect. <br />b. City and District shall jointly prepare a Request for Proposal <br />(RFP) or Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for architectural services to <br />design all improvements to be constructed on the Joint Use Site. The <br />RFP's or RFQ's shall be provided to qualified architectural firms with <br />experience in designing schools and community centers. City and <br />District shall encourage the submittal of joint responses by a team or <br />teams of architects qualified to design all of the improvements proposed <br />for the Site. <br />C. The Joint Selection Committee shall receive and review <br />responses to the RFP's/RFQ's, and select up to four (4) finalists. The <br />Joint Selection Committee shall conduct presentation interviews with <br />each of the finalists and, based on the interviews, shall select a <br />maximum of two firms, or teams, for further investigation, including a <br />background check and site visits to projects designed by each firm. <br />Based on this investigation, the Joint Selection Committee shall <br />recommend to City and.
