8. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br />A. Legislation (information only) - This sub - section involves possible discussion of <br />City Position on Proposed Legislation described in the League of California <br />Cities Priority Focus Bulletin No. 31 -2004 and 32 -2004. Council may direct staff <br />to act on positions taken by Council. (Copies of League of California Cities <br />Priority Focus available in City Clerk's Department). <br />B. Mayor Ira on behalf of Vice Mayor Pierce — announced the Victorian Days <br />event to be held at the courthouse on Saturday, August 28 from 10:00 a.m. to <br />4:00 p.m. with live music, historical reenactments, and various other activities and <br />entertainment. <br />C. Council Member Foust — stated her concern with the high level of mosquito <br />infestation in Redwood Shores at this time. She stated that spraying is being <br />done and for further information to contact the County office or website. <br />9.
