This <br />section shall apply to concrete slab s on grade in <br />construction related to Groups R-l, R-3, and M <br />occupancies only. <br /> "'(a) Concrete slab floors, garage slabs, and <br />driveways shall have a minimum thickness of three and <br />one-half (3~) inches and shall be reinforced with a <br />minimum six (6) inch by six (6) inch by six (6) gauge <br />welded wire fabric or equivalent area of reinforcing. <br />Welded wire fabric manufactured in mats shall be used. <br />All reinforcement shall be appropriately supported in <br />order to keep the reinforcement in the mid-depth of the <br />slab until the completion of the concrete pour. <br /> 3 <br />
