M/S Ira/Howard to approve the plan in concept that C /CAG adopt the "Guidelines for the <br />Implementation of the Land Use Impact Analysis of the 1999 Congestion Management <br />Plan ". The motion passed by a unanimous roll call vote. <br />C) Report from the Personnel Committee (Council Member Hartnett, Chair): <br />I. Resolutions Amending the Salary and Wage plan for classifications represented by the <br />Redwood City Management Employees Association (RCMEA) and Service <br />Employees International Union -Local 725 (SEIU): <br />Council Member Hartnett explained the recommendation for a 4% increase effective June 1, <br />2000 to the classifications represented by RCMEA and SEIU was a unanimous <br />recommendation by the Personnel Committee. <br />Ward Hayder, RCMEA President, recommended approving the resolutions with study of the <br />classifications to occur during negotiations. <br />Molly Spore - Aldahef, Librarian, Chief Steward for Local 715 stated she has seen the <br />difficulty in recruitment and retention over the last several years. The living costs are very <br />high and the City must compensate properly in order to attract and retain. <br />i) M/S Hartnett/Howard to adopt RESOLUTION 13875 AMENDING RESOLUTION <br />NO. 13585, AS AMENDED, ESTABLISHING A SALARY AND WAGE PLAN FOR <br />EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATIONS REPRESENTED BY THE REDWOOD CITY <br />MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION (RCMEA) TO PROVIDE FOR A <br />SALARY ADJUSTMENT; <br />ii) M/S Hartnett/Howard to adopt RESOLUTION 13876 AMENDING RESOLUTION <br />NO. 13298, AS AMENDED, ESTABLISHING A SALARY AND WAGE PLAN FOR <br />CERTAIN EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATIONS (SEIU) UNIT TO PROVIDE FOR A <br />SALARY ADJUSTMENT; <br />The motions passed by a majority roll call vote with Council Member Jordan voting no. <br />II) Motion to Approve the Executive Management Summary of Benefits: Resolution <br />Amending the Salary and Wage Plan for Executive Management Classifications: <br />Council Member Hartnett explained the recommendation was a unanimous <br />recommendation of the Personnel Committee.
