BOARDS, COMMISSION AND COMMITTEE REPORTS — <br />A) Resolution to Expedite Implementation of AB 1149 (Mayor Ira Ruskin); <br />This item was considered under Matters of Council Interest. <br />M/S Claire/Hartnett to extend the meeting to 11:45 p.m. Motion passed by a majority voice <br />vote with Council Member Jordan voting no. <br />B) Regional Transportation Committee (Council Member Howard, Chair), C /CAG "Guidelines <br />for the Implementation of the Land Use Impact Analysis of the 1999 Congestion <br />Management Plan". <br />Council Member Howard explained that C /CAG has been working on mitigation of <br />regional transportation issues in the various cities. The idea being to look at utilizing many <br />different solutions such as shuttle buses and other means of transportation aside from the <br />single occupancy vehicle method. The application would be toward projects that generate <br />100 or more trips per peak hour. <br />Council Member Hartnett explained that there is a State law that requires Counties to adopt a <br />congestion management plan. In the plan adopted by the City and County Association <br />Government Board of Directors there is a mandatory program for mitigating the peak hour <br />trips on those roadways that are considered to be part of the congestion management plan. <br />The guidelines prepared were created for purposes of implementing the mitigation plan after <br />substantial planning and discussion and provide guidelines to be applied countywide. <br />M/S Howard/Hartnett to extend the meeting to 11:50 p.m. The motion passed by a <br />unanimous voice vote. <br />REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />MINUTES <br />April 10, 2000 <br />PAGE 7 <br />MINUTES Book No.58 <br />Page NO. 86 <br />
