Tafoya <br />· Vina Vo <br /> <br />*Unincorporated Redwood City resident <br /> <br />Council interviewed 12 of the 18 applicants who submitted an application to the Housing <br />and Human Concerns Committee; one applicant withdrew his application after being <br />selected for interview. All selected 12 applicants to the Housing and Human Concerns <br />Committee were able to attend the March 13, 2017 interview session. <br /> <br />The Housing and Human Concerns Committee’s bylaws provide that “no more than two <br />(2) members may be appointed from interested and committed residents of the <br />unincorporated area of Redwood City.” Of the five current members of the HHCC, only <br />one (Cathy Kahn Recht) is an unincorporated Redwood City resident. One of the two <br />open seats could be filled by an unincorporated Redwood City resident, but not both. <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />Council could decide to re-open the recruitment for a particular Board, Commission and <br />Committee and restart the process. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Board, Commission and Committee processes are part of the General Fund and <br />budgeted accordingly under the City Clerk budget. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />Not a project under the California Environmental Quality Act. <br /> <br /> <br />7.A. - Page 2
