maintenance hours, including vehicle start‐up and preparation. Enforce standard
construction noise controls such as:
o Limit construction to the hours of 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. on weekdays, and 9:00
A.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Saturdays, with no noise‐generating construction on
Sundays or holidays.
o Control noise from construction workers' radios to the point where they are not
audible at existing residences that border the project site.
o Equip all internal combustion engine‐driven equipment with mufflers that are in
good condition and appropriate for the equipment.
o Utilize quiet models of air compressors and other stationary noise sources where
technology exists. Locate stationary noise‐generating equipment as far as
possible from sensitive receptors when sensitive receptors adjoin or are near a
construction project area.
o Prohibit unnecessary idling of internal combustion engines.
o Notify residents adjacent to the project site of the construction schedule in
writing.

The project is subject to the Noise Ordinance. The project’s conditions of
approval include construction hours consistent with the ordinance, and a
construction traffic plan (including the identification of truck haul routes) for
review and approval by the City to minimize construction traffic‐related impacts
on adjacent land uses.

Goal NR-2: Reduce water consumption through aggressive implementation of
conservation policies and programs.
Goal NR-3: Coordinate land use and water supply planning processes so that adequate
water supplies are available for proposed development.
- Policy NR-3.1: Require new development to demonstrate that adequate water is
available before project approval and to fund its fair‐share costs associated with
the provision of water service.

The City's 2010 Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) accounts for
development that would occur pursuant to the City’s adopted General Plan
through 2030, including all projected growth under the Mixed Use – Downtown
land use designation, which is implemented through the DTPP. The annual water
supply from SFPUC is sufficient to supply and service the proposed project.
Further the conditions of approval 8 require the applicant to pay water, recycled
water, and wastewater‐related fees as outlined on the City’s website.

- Program NR-5: Water System Fee Requirements. Review and update
ordinances, policies, and other requirements establishing the payment of fees
and charges to ensure new development pays its fair share of operating and
maintaining the City’s water systems, as necessary.

As a condition of project approval, the project will pay applicable water, recycled
water, and wastewater‐related fees.
8.A. - Page 81
