The project is subject to the City’s Tree Preservation Ordinance and Chapter 29 <br />of the Municipal Code, which regulates street trees. <br /> <br />- Program NR-45: Tree Replacement. Require removed trees, whether on public <br />or private property, to be replaced with a new tree or trees in the closest <br />appropriate planting site to mitigate loss, as feasible. <br /> <br />The project would remove 22 existing trees, including 8 street trees and replace <br />them with 32 new street trees and 10 trees within the new central courtyard. <br /> <br /> <br />8.A. - Page 83
