NOTICE INVITING BIDS <br />2016-2017 SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF BATTERY BACK-UP SYSTEMS 3 of 12 <br />4. BID SUBMISSION DETAILS <br />Bid Submissions shall comply with applicable provisions of the Government Code of the State <br />of California and with the following: <br />a. Before submitting a bid, Bidders should read this Notice Inviting Bids carefully and <br />inform themselves completely of all details outlined in this document. <br />b. Bidders will review this Notice Inviting Bids and sign all required pages. After <br />signing, the Bidder will return all pages as part of their Bid Submission. <br />c. As part of their Bid Submission, Bidders will submit pricing information on the <br />document entitled "Bid Proposal Form", properly executed in ink, with all appropriate <br />spaces filled in. Additional information may be submitted by the Bidder on separate <br />sheets of paper. <br />d. Each Bid Submission must be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to: <br />i. City of Redwood City <br />Attn: City Clerk <br />1017 Middlefield Road <br />Redwood City, CA 94063 <br />ii. Envelopes must bear the Bidder’s name and address, and be clearly marked <br />“SEALED BID FOR SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF BBS DUE 3:30 <br />P.M. WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 22.” <br />e. Bid Submissions must be received by Redwood City no later than the time and date <br />shown in this Notice Inviting Bids. Late submittals will not be accepted. <br /> <br />5. BID SUBMISSION CHECKLIST <br /> <br /> Key Points <br />1 Bid Proposal Form will specify any exceptions to the specified item or part. <br />2 Bid Proposal Form will specify additional warranties. <br />3 Bid Proposal Form will specify the maximum number of days till delivery to <br />Redwood City (after an order is placed). The maximum number of days till <br />delivery will be listed by the Bidder as a specific number of days (60, 90, and <br />120) and not a range of days (90-120). <br />4 Bidder will sign all required pages of the Notice Inviting Bids and return all <br />pages as part of their Bid Submission. <br /> <br />6. WITHDRAWAL OF BID <br />Any Bidder may withdraw his or her bid by written request (addressed to the City Contact), <br />prior to the Bid Submission Due Date. <br /> <br />7. INTERPRETATION <br />If a prospective Bidder is in doubt of the true meaning of any part of this "Notice Inviting <br />Bids" or finds discrepancies in, or omissions in the same, the Bidder may submit to the City a <br />written request for an interpretation or a correction thereof. Any interpretations or correction <br />of the proposed documents will only be made by an addendum posted online to the original <br />bid posting on the City’s website. Such addendum shall be considered a part of the contract <br />and must be signed and submitted with the Bid Submission. <br /> <br />8. NEW MATERIAL - ACCEPTANCE <br />6.1.B. - Page 12
