<br /> S. :nt 12/17/87 (#06) <br /> SWC:nt 12/22/87R <br /> apparatus, repair of plugged-in apparatus and similar work <br /> shall be construed as ordinary care and maintenance. <br /> " (c) The repair of appliances, apparatus, and <br /> materials which are not a fixed part of an established <br /> electrical system or which have been detached from such <br /> system for the purpose of repair." <br /> IISection 9.117. Issuance of permits pursuant to this <br /> article shall not be deemed or construed to permit or <br /> approve any violations of the provisions of this article of <br /> the Electrical Code. No permit issued hereunder purporting <br /> to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of <br /> this article or the Electrical Code shall be valid insofar <br /> as such permit purports to authorize such violation or <br /> cancellation. The issuance of a permit pursuant to this <br /> article shall not relieve the permittee from applying for or <br /> obtaining any other permit which may be required by this <br /> Code, or other ordinances, rules, or regulations of the City <br /> or of any other governmental entity." <br /> "Section 9.118. Section 203-76 of the Electrical Code <br /> is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 230-76. The disconnecting means for <br /> ungrounded service conductors shall consist of either (1) a <br /> manually operable switch or circuit breaker equipped with a <br /> handle or other suitable operating means, or (2 ) a <br /> power-operated switch or circuit breaker; provided the <br /> switch or circuit breaker can be opened by hand in the event <br /> of a power supply failure, or (3 ) a shunt trip push button <br /> 24 <br />
