RESOLUTION NO. 54-2015 <br />CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A <br />PUBLIC WORKS MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND OTHER CITIES WITHIN <br />THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO <br />WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo and the cities within San Mateo County have <br />expressed a mutual interest in the establishment of a plan to encourage public works mutual aid <br />agreements; and <br />WHEREAS, the Parties to the Mutual Aid Agreement have determined that it would be <br />in the parties' best interests to enter into a Mutual Aid Agreement that implements a plan and <br />sets forth procedures and responsibilities of the Parties whenever emergency personnel, <br />equipment, and facility assistance is provided; and <br />WHEREAS, such an agreement is in accord with the California Emergency Services Act <br />(California Government Code Section 8630 et seg.); and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed Mutual Aid Agreement has been reviewed by City staff and <br />City staff recommends that the City Council approve the Agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San <br />Francisco that the City hereby approves the County of San Mateo Mutual Aid Agreement. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco <br />that the City Council authorizes the City Manager to executed the County of San Mateo Mutual <br />Aid Agreement on behalf of the City, and to take any other action consistent with the intent of <br />this Resolution. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution shall be effective immediately upon <br />adoption. <br />a1- <br />
