The imposition of any one penalty for any violation shall not excuse the <br />violation or permit it to continue. Each and every day a violation shall <br />continue shall be deemed to be a separate violation. <br />"(b) The Chief or his authorized representatives <br />shall enforce the provisions of the Fire Code adopted by <br />Section 12.7 and as amended by this article and all orders, <br />licenses, certificates, permits and plans and specifications <br />issued or approved thereunder and shall have the authority to <br />issue citations for violations thereof." <br />SECTION 3. All former ordinances or parts thereof conflicting <br />or inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance or of the Code <br />hereby adopted are hereby repealed. <br />SECTION 4. If any section, paragraph, sentence or word of this <br />ordinance or of the Code hereby adopted should for any reason be found <br />invalid, it is intended that all other portions of this ordinance <br />independent of the elimination herefrom of any such portion as may be <br />declared invalid shall be valid. <br />SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect 30 days after the <br />date of its adoption; provided, however, that any building or structure <br />lawfully commenced by the completion of its foundation structure may be <br />completed in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Redwood <br />City Code repealed by this ordinance provided that such construction is <br />in strict compliance with such provisions. <br />-22- <br />
