"'Section 203 The Building Inspector is hereby authorized <br />and empowered to designate representatives of the San <br />Mateo County Department of Health and Welfare to act as <br />his representatives in investigating violations of, and <br />enforcing any provision of, the Code relating to inade- <br />quate light, air or sanitation facilities, or.any other <br />matter determined by the Health officer as likely to <br />cause a building to be unsanitary, unfit for human <br />habitation or in such a condition that is likely to <br />cause sickness or disease. When so designated such <br />representatives shall have the same powers and duties <br />as the Building Inspector. All references in this code <br />to the "Health Officer" shall be construed to be <br />references to representatives of the abovementioned <br />Department of Health and Welfare."' <br />"Section 9.63 Chapters 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 of the <br />Housing Code are hereby deleted and shall have no force or effect <br />in the City." <br />SECTION 11. This ordinance shall take effect 30 days after the <br />date of its adoption; provided, however, that any building or structure <br />lawfully commenced by the completion of its foundation structure may <br />be completed in accordance with the applicable provisions of the. <br />Redwood City Code repealed by this ordinance provided that such <br />construction is in strict compliance with such provisions. <br />
