11/5/81R <br />article. <br />"'Secti'ori 78.107 The provisions -of Section 12..21 of the Code of <br />the City of Redwood City relating to appeals from disapproval of <br />applications or refusal _to .grant permits or revocation thereof shall <br />apply to denials of applications for permits for public displays of <br />fireworks or temporary sales permits or revocation of such permits. <br />After the hearing -on -an appeal., -the Council shall reverse, modify, or <br />sustain --the denial or revocation from which appeal was taken,' <br />"Section 12.20 Section 79.103 of the Fire. Code --is_ hereby- amended <br />to read as follows: <br />"'Section 7.9.103 PERMITS REQUIRED <br />"'A person shall obtain a permit for the following: <br />I'll. Storage, handling or use of Class 1 liquids in excess of <br />5 gallons.in any building or other occupancy, or in excess of 10 <br />gallons outside of any buildings 4excegt-that no -permit shall be_required <br />for the following: <br />"'(i) For the storage or use of Class I liquids in the fuel <br />tank of a.motor vehicle, aircraft, motorboat., mobile -power plant <br />or mobile heating plant, -unless -storage, in the opinion of the <br />Chief., wouldcausean unsafe -condition. <br />"'(ii) For the storage or use of paints, oils,_varnishes or <br />similar flammable.mixtures when such liquids are stored for <br />maintenance, painting or,similar purposes for a period of not <br />more than 30 days. <br />"12. Storage, handling or use of Class II or III liquids in <br />excess of 25 gallons in a building, or in excess of 60 gallons outside <br />a building, except for fuel oil used in connection with oil -burning <br />equipment. <br />'13. The removalofClass .I. or II.liquids from -.any underground. <br />storage tank used for fueling motor vehicles by any means. <br />-22- <br />
